FOR THE DOJO SEEKERS

Important Reminder: Do not delete your Ashigaru or Samourai wallet if you do not remember the passphrase.

The passphrase is only displayed once when the wallet is created and differs from the PIN you use to access the app. These are not linked.

If you need to change the dojo to which your wallet is connected, you will have to delete the wallet. Be sure to verify that you have the correct passphrase before proceeding. The wallet can check whether the passphrase you believe you have matches the correct one. Please note that the passphrase cannot be recovered. If you do not remember it, do not delete the wallet. There are some workarounds available.

You will need both the 12-word mnemonic seed phrase and the passphrase to recover your wallet.

To verify your passphrase, go to Settings > Wallet > Check BIP39 Passphrase and enter it. If everything is correct, you will receive a confirmation.

🔴 If you do not have the passphrase, do not delete the wallet. Instead, send the funds to a wallet you control.

🟢 If you have the passphrase and the 12 words, you can delete the wallet to change your device or connect to another Dojo server.

A good practice is to verify everything once you create the wallet to avoid future issues.

If you have the passphrase but not the 12 words, you can access the wallet by decrypting the backup file with the passphrase.

If you lose the connection to a Dojo server and do not remember the passphrase, you can export the extended public key to Sparrow to create a watch-only wallet and sign offline transactions from Ashigaru.

Are there any privacy concerns for the dojo seekers?

" When connecting to a Dojo, it's crucial to remember that you are sharing your extended public key (xpub). The Dojo runner has the option to access this information and check your past, present, and future transactions. Therefore, ensure you're connecting to a reputable and trustworthy Dojo.

Additionally, using your own Dojo can enhance your privacy and security. Always prioritize your data protection when dealing with third-party services."

FOR THE DOJO RUNNERS

We are sure PavelTheCoder will offer more detailed information and have a stronger foundation than we do.

Are there any privacy concerns for the dojo runners?

"Not really security concerns. By sharing a pairing payload, you are revealing onion address of your Dojo which means a malicious party could try to DDoS attack it.

You are also risking that very many people will pair to your Dojo which means you need good enough hardware to handle that. You will also not be able to unshare your pairing info until we have api key management in Dojo."

Is it possible to change the onion address if you are experiencing a DDoS attack?

"Yes, but you would have to re-pair all connected wallets."

Is it possible to see how many wallets are connected to a dojo?

"No, and it won't be possible."

Is it possible to limit this number, if the hardware can only handle a certain number of connections?

"This is not about connections but about tracking a very big number of addresses. But the limit is relatively very high even for lower grade devices"
